What is the USA Softball Campionship Series? The Amateur Softball Association recently changed its tourament structure for Men's Class A, B, C and D Slow Pitch and Women's Class B, C and D Slow Pitch. The new structure splits the country into East and West National Championships with the winners of each advancing to the USA Softball National Championship Series.

Teams have opportunities to qualify through numerous state/metro, regaional and national qualifying tournaments. Qualified teams then advance from the East or West National Championships to compete for a trip to Oklahoma City, OK, and the USA National Championship Series.

Many times leagues, recreation departments and others say, "Why join ASA? Will they try to run our program?" These questions and others are asked because many are not aware of the ASA policies and benefits. Threre are no regulations imposed at the local leauge level. IASA regulations govern only ASA championship coompetition.
