Official ASA Rule Book and Newspaper
Each registrant team will receive the official national
rule book and guide, along with a subscription to the Balls and
Strikes.
Teams May Also Receive Assistance...
in building play fields, forming leagues
and tournaments, special rates on team insurance, and a variety of softball
films for their viewing pleasure and education.
Protests & Questions on Rules
Your District and State Commissioner will assist
with local protests. Rule interprepations will be given by the State and
National umpire staff.
Championship Tournaments
Teams may, if they wish, compete in District, Staste,
Regional and National tournaments. There are more than 40 championship
divisions each year.
Invitational Tournaments
Teams may also compete in sanctioned invitational
tournaments throughout the state and nation. Idaho sponsors 100 ASA Invitational
events each year.

Hall of Fame
The Idaho Softball Association has established its
own Hall of Fame. Its purpose is to honor those who have contributed greatly
to the softball program in the state.
Umpire Organization
Umpires may register with their District Umpire-in-Chief,
the State Umpire-in-Chief, or the State Office. Each umpire will receive
an umping manual, membership ID card, ASA rule book, ASA umpire emblem,
umpire accident insurance, bat ring, subscription to the National
Balls & Strikes and various umpiring materials. Umpires may
request assignment of District, State, Regional and National Championship
tournaments as well as invitational tournaments.
